The Shark below was caught from a Small 17ft John Boat by Shark Fighting expert, Marine Lance Corporal Viar !

Thomas from Vero Beach, FL caught the  5 foot bull shark pictured below in the Indian River Lagoon.  This fish was hooked on light spinning tackle in less than 2 feet of water on a live pinfish.  He was not shark fishing and had no idea that this would even be in this area.  They were in his 17 ft Boston Whaler flats fishing and had to chase this fish down for around and hour so it didn't spool him.  Toward the end of the fight, his rod snapped.  The shark was close to the boat and getting tired so they managed to get another hook in its mouth and then fight it on a different rod.   They landed it, snapped a few photos and it swam away like nothing ever happened.  What a strong fish!!!

The Shark picture below was Submitted by another Military Shark Fighter, Army MSG White.

He Fought it while fishing on the "REEL LUCKY" out of West Palm Beach FL.
